Tearful Roger Federer declared his “fairy tale” goes on after he clinched his 20th Grand Slam title at the Australian Open. The Swiss superstar had to fight off nerves and a brave comeback from Marin Cilic in a five-set battle to win his sixth title in Melbourne. Federer, who turns 37 in August, has now won three Grand Slams in the last 12 months after a five-year barren spell. He becomes only the second man – after Ken Rosewall – to win three after the age of 35 in the Open era. And the greatest male player of all time fought back the tears in his post-match victory speech. “I’m so happy, it’s unbelievable,” Federer said.
